*after life by jaron lee knuth – used the word “feel” 4x in 2 sentences, always has to talk about everyone by their name everrrrrrry time they are mentioned – never he/she/they
*after the end by bonnie dee – zombies, corny, stereotypical
*armageddon's children (the genesis of shannara, bk 1) by terry brooks – 8-yr-old shooting accurately w a gun, everyone in family dies in first few pgs, zombies and demons, corny/unrealistic

where 1 person starts talking and another starts etc, tried reading 2x now but cant get into it

*grant pass: a post-apocalyptic anthology by jay lake etc – dont normally like anthology/short stories, the forwards by the 2 main authors were so corny and over-explaining I couldn't imagine what the writing inside would be like
*gulf of the plains by derek a murphy – doesn't explain anything, says rapes and murder w no detail yet randomly throws in that she'd had enough of rape “in thailand when she was enslaved by a rich guy” and carries an ak-47 – need I say more?

*the walk by lee goldberg – compares everything to a movie, “this is bad” after a huge earthquake

*three mokes east by philip revene – got far in the long sample but it was rather boring unfortunately
